ARVADA, Colo. -- Petty crimes happen all the time in the Denver metro area. Police call them misdemeanors if the cost is less than $2,000. Most of these crimes occur when no one is watching.

Not this time. A pair of doors were stolen from an early model Jeep Wrangler from Active Transmission and Gear in Arvada.

The victim is Conrad Belknap of Denver and he's keeping a brave face.

"Yeah, it's going to be a little chilly but it is what it is. I'm from Detroit and lived in St. Petersburg, Russia, so I'm used to the cold," he said.

Most crooks, however, are not too bright. Little did the door thief know, it was caught on a not-too-candid camera.

He is described by the Arvada Police Department as a white male, slightly overweight and wearing a full beard. He also might have a large tattoo on his left forearm.

He drove a white Jeep with black rims, gray hard top with the back window missing and no doors.

Until now.

Anyone who sees the Jeep or knows the owner, call police at 720-898-6552.
