Chef David Bondarchuck from Scratch Catering Services shows us how to make Popcorn balls.

 Popcorn Balls

 What You Need

2/3 Cup Light Corn Syrup

1/4 Cup Unsalted Butter

1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract

1/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1 heaping cup mini marshmallows

1/4 teaspoon salt (Optional)

5 Quarts plain popped Popcorn

Pan Spray (For your hands when forming)

*Optional: 1 cup candies such as mini M&M’s or Reese’s pieces

What to Do

Pop your Popcorn, and put it in a large bowl. Set aside

In a glass bowl combine the Corn Syrup, Butter, Vanilla, Brown Sugar, Salt and Mini Marshmallows and Microwave for 1.5-2 minutes until all ingredients are melted together.

Using a rubber spatula stir the hot glass bowl to combine all the ingredients equally.

Pour the hot mixture over the popped popcorn, and using the rubber spatula stir the popcorn mixture to combine and coat evenly.

Allow the popcorn to cool a bit before you begin to form the balls.

*Now is the time to sprinkle in an add the candies (If you’re using)

You will know the mixture is ready once the coating when touched strings slightly in your hands

Working quickly: Spray your hands with pan spray and begin to form the 3.5-4 inch balls. Place the balls on a lined baking sheet and set aside until set, and hardened.

This recipe yields approximately 12 popcorn balls
