Woman arrested in deadly northeast Denver shooting

DENVER — One person was killed in a shooting near the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge on Sunday night, the Denver Police Department said.

The shooting happened in the 16100 block of East Randolph Place. Police responded to the scene after receiving calls of shots fired about 6:45 p.m.

On Monday morning, police said they are treating the shooting as a homicide and that one female suspect has been taken into custody.

The name, age and gender of the victim have not been released. The suspect’s name and age have not been released by police. It’s not known what relationship, if any, the victim and the suspect had with each other.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting, including a possible motive.
