JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A suspect was taken into custody Friday after a barricade situation in the Ken Caryl area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office said it started around 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 7300 block of South Alkire Street when someone witnessed a man and a woman in what appeared to be a domestic violence incident.

The man took the woman back inside the apartment and barricaded himself and her, the sheriff’s office said.

The man came out willingly around 2 p.m. There were no injuries.
