Deputies seek hit-and-run driver who hit bicyclist in Arapahoe County

AURORA, Colo. — The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a vehicle involved in the hit-and-run of a bicyclist at East Smoky Hill Road and South Tower Road on Friday.

The sheriff’s office said it is looking for a 2000 white Ford Explorer with a broken windshield and a Colorado license plate.

The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Smoky Hill Road from Tower Road, the sheriff’s office said.

The eastbound lanes of Smoky Hill Road were closed at Tower while deputies investigated.

The victim was not severely injured, according to the sheriff’s office.
