DENVER — A man was seriously injured after being hit by two vehicles, then attempted to carjack a truck on Friday morning, the Denver Police Department said.

The incident happened on West Sixth Avenue west of Federal Boulevard just before 11 a.m.

Police said the man was walking eastbound on Sixth Avenue when he was hit by truck traveling eastbound.

The man then got up and crossed the median to the westbound lanes where he was hit by another truck.

The man got up and tried to get into the truck, unbeknownst to the driver, police said. The driver left, but other drivers alerted him that the man who had been hit was on the truck.

The driver stopped and man fell off. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
