hree Colorado-based companies will celebrate the launch of a high-resolution commercial imaging satellite at a Colorado watch party hosted by the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. The watch party is open to the public and is included with a general admission ticket.

DigitalGlobe, Lockheed Martin and United Launch Alliance (ULA) invite space enthusiasts and media to learn from local experts affiliated with each company and watch a live feed of the WorldView-4 launch, which will take place at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

This event will take place in the Museum’s Space Odyssey exhibit.

11:45 a.m. – 12:20 p.m.

Company Presentations

Dr. Steve Lee, Denver Museum of Nature & Science curator of planetary science will moderate the panel. Presenters will include:

  • Deke Young, senior director of Product Management, DigitalGlobe;
  • Rhiannan Price, senior manager of the Global Development Program, DigitalGlobe;
  • Joe Rickers, director, Commercial Communications Programs, Lockheed Martin Commercial Space and
  • Amanda Kuker, structural engineer, ULA.
