DENVER -- A ceremony and concert were held at Civic Center Park on Sunday in honor of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

John Fogerty and Big Head Todd and the Monsters performed a free concert.

The Colorado Remembers 9/11 ceremony included a procession led by the Colorado National Guard, a special flyover, a 21-gun salute and the playing of Taps to "honor all of the men and women who have given their lives in service," the website said.

There was also a bell ceremony in which four chimes commemorated the lives lost in each of the plane attacks.

A piece of steel recovered from the Twin Towers was also on display.
