DENVER — With the Broncos’ kickoff party starting Wednesday and a free concert ahead of Thursday’s regular-season opener, it’s wise to know the frenzy is likely to spill into the streets.

Bannock Street between Colfax and 14th avenues is closed with parking and lane restrictions, and intermittent closures of other area roadways.

For fans looking to avoid traffic snarls, the City of Denver has released information to help navigate the party safely.

Besides the Bannock Street closure, there will be high traffic volume around Civic Center Park on Wednesday and Thursday.

Denver County Courts and all city buildings will remain open during normal business hours throughout the event.

To access courtrooms in the City and County Building, or for other city business related matters, the south entrance along 14th Avenue and a temporary entrance on Cherokee Street will be open to the public.

Parking around Civic Center Park and the City and County Building through mid-September will be very limited because of the NFL kickoff festival.

Event attendees and the general public are encouraged to allow extra time to get downtown and utilize the RTD system, Denver B-Cycle, or download the Go Denver app for more transportation options.

If your vehicle was towed for parking in a restricted area, check Denver’s new Tow Tracker feature on and search by license plate number or the date the car was towed.
