DENVER — A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash on Monday morning, the Denver Police Department said.

The incident happened at East Evans Avenue and South Logan Street about 7 a.m.

The person was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The extent of the injuries was not known. The name, age and gender of the victim were not released.

Police have not released a description of the suspect or the vehicle involved in the crash.

Police earlier said another hit-and-run happened about 4:30 a.m. at 19th Street and Chestnut Place, saying a pedestrian suffered serious injuries.

But a few hours later, police said the incident was not a hit-and-run and that it appeared the person suffered self-inflicted injuries.
