Father wanted in Amber alert in custody; 3-month-old boy found safe

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A father who took off with his 3-month-old son after a physical fight at the home was taken into custody and the baby is safe, the Colorado Springs Police Department said.

Police said Jonathan Beatty, 39, threatened to kill the infant, triggering an Amber alert.

Beatty, 39, left the home on Castlewood Lane with the baby sometime after 9:15 a.m. Saturday when the victim left to report the incident.

Beatty was last seen driving a 2012 white Chevrolet pickup truck with Colorado license place 327-YVV.

The baby's name is Blaze Cort Beatty.
