DENVER – Two 12-year-olds from Colorado Springs have started a petition to get rid of the tigers at Denver’s Downtown Aquarium.

The petition claims the 4 endangered Sumatran tigers need more space.

They have more than 7,000 signatures and have almost reached their goal of 8,000.

Public relations for the aquarium says the tigers have been entrusted to the Denver Aquarium as part of the species survival plan to prevent their extinction.
