Pedestrian hit by light rail train near Convention Center in downtown Denver

DENVER — A pedestrian was hit by a light rail train about a block from the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver Friday evening.

Streets are blocked for several blocks around 15th and California streets, Drew Engelbart reported from the scene.

The man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Denver Police Department.

The Regional Transportation District warned riders to expect delays on the D, F, and H lines.
