ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Broncos safety Shiloh Keo was suspended for the first two games of the regular season for violating the NFL’s policy and program for substances of abuse, the league announced Friday.

Less than a week after the Broncos won Super Bowl 50, Keo was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Idaho.

This is Keo’s second year with the Broncos after being singed on Dec. 9. Before that, he was with the Houston Texans and Cincinnati Bengals.

Keo is allowed to stay with the team through training camp and preseason, and will be allowed to return to the active roster on Sept. 19 after the Broncos’ Week 2 game against the Indianapolis Colts. He will also miss the Sept. 8 opener against the Carolina Panthers.

The news comes the day after the Broncos won their first preseason game of the year against the Chicago Bears, 22-0.
