FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- A 5-year-old girl who was the subject of a six-hour Amber Alert was found safe early Friday morning and her mother was taken into custody, the Fort Collins Police Department said.

Lauren Perotti-Montgomery, 30, was ordered to relinquish custody of her 5-year-old daughter Annalee Keller, and when she failed to do so, an arrest warrant was issued.

About 9:15 p.m. Thursday, police attempted to contact Perotti-Montgomery in the 4500 block of Denrose Court. But she fled the area with Annalee in a vehicle, "recklessly" eluding police.

An Amber Alert was issued just after midnight Friday and police said the vehicle was found abandoned on Drake Road in Fort Collins.

About 5:30 a.m., Perotti-Montgomery and Annalee were found in the 1500 block of Casa Grande Boulevard. Annalee was unharmed, and Perotti-Montgomery was arrested and charged with second-degree kidnapping, child abuse and vehicular eluding.
