Worker dies in Denver industrial plant accident

One person died in an industrial plant accident in Denver on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016.

DENVER — One person died in an industrial plant accident on Tuesday morning, the Denver Fire Department said.

The accident happened at KBP Coil Coaters in the 3600 block of East 44th Avenue.

The Denver Fire Department said the worker was trapped in an aluminum splitter and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the company’s website, KBP Coil Coaters “provides coil coating and building products. The company also offers slitting, embossing, printing patterns and packaging services.”
