Man crashes vehicle, stabs himself at Second Avenue and Logan Street on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2016.

DENVER — A man was taken to a hospital Tuesday morning after crashing a vehicle and stabbing himself, the Denver Police Department said.

Police said the man got into an accident that left a tire flattened. He called for a two truck from East Second Avenue and Logan Street.

When the tow truck driver arrived, he believed the man was under the influence and called police.

When officers arrived, they found the man had what appeared to be self-inflicted stab wounds. He was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

Logan was closed between Second and Third avenues as police investigated but it reopened about 6:50 a.m.
