Swastikas were painted on a fence near 15th Avenue and Centennial Drive in Longmont.

LONGMONT, Colo. — Several red swastikas were painted over gang-related graffiti on a fence in Longmont this week, the second Nazi-related graffiti in the city lately, the Longmont Times-Call reported.

City officials will paint over the swastikas near 15th Avenue and Centennial Drive on Thursday. Spokesman Rigo Leal told the newspaper that even though the fence is on private property, the city will remove the graffiti with the owner’s permission.

Police said there have been two reports of swastikas in the past couple of weeks but they are in different parts of the city. The other report was near Airport Road and 17th Avenue.

No suspects are in custody.
