Accident closes I-25 southbound near Larkspur

LARKSPUR, Colo. — An accident shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 25 at East Greenland Road for an extended period of time on Saturday night, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.

The accident was south of Larkspur, near Spruce Meadows Open Space.

Troopers had just reopened the interstate when a suspect in a hit-and-run crashed in the area, CSP said. CSP said there are serious injuries in the DUI crash.

The driver was taken into custody and faces possible charges, according to CSP.
