Strong storms bring heavy rain, dangerous lightning to metro Denver

DENVER -- A flash flood warning was issued for Denver, Arapahoe and Adams counties on Tuesday night.

Powerful storms brought heavy rain to the metro area that quickly flooded some places. A flash flood warning means flooding is happening or imminent.

Remember, do not drive into or enter any area where there is high water. Dangerous lightning accompanied the heavy rain downpours.

Denver International Airport warned that the storms could cause flight delays, so passengers were urged to check the status of their flights.
