One killed in Aurora apartment complex shooting

AURORA, Colo. -- One person was killed after a shooting early Monday morning at an apartment complex, the Aurora Police Department said.

The shooting happened in the 10700 block of East Exposition Avenue. When officers arrived, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not released any suspect information or what led to the shooting because the shooting remains an active investigation. No arrests have been made.

The identity of the victim will be made by the Arapahoe County Coroner's Office after next of kin has been notified.
