Wildfire burns near Sedalia

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — A wildfire started in Douglas County near Sedalia on Sunday. The smoke quickly filled the air around surrounding communities, including Castle Rock.

Officials said the fire is burning along Highway 67 and was at 11 acres as of Sunday night.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said the fire is not moving fast and it does not expect much growth overnight.

The U.S. Forest Service is on the scene fighting the fire.
