BOULDER, Colo. -- The Dalai Lama will speak at the University of Colorado's Coors Event Center on Thursday.

Each session is expected to draw 9,000 people to the center.

The university and the Tibetan Association of Colorado had planned for a two-day visit from the Dalai Lama in October, but the Buddhist leader canceled all of his planned U.S. events because of health reasons.

Heavy traffic is expected around the center and there will be temporary road closures. Regent Drive will be limited to people with a prepaid event parking permit or a valid university permit.
