2 hospitalized after hot air balloon makes hard landing

LITTLETON, Colo. — Two people were taken to a hospital with minor injuries after a hot air balloon made a hard landing Wednesday morning, the Littleton Fire Department said.

The balloon landed about 6:50 a.m. in the parking lot of Lockheed Martin in the 12200 block of South Wadsworth Boulevard, officials said. A third person in the balloon walked away uninjured.

The extent of the injuries was not revealed. The names, ages and genders of the balloon occupants were not announced.

The cause of the hard landing has not been determined.
