ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. -- Crews were back on the job Monday to finish repairs on South Buckley Road after extreme heat caused a portion of the busy roadway to buckle.

Traffic was rerouted around the damage between East Peakview Avenue and East Arapahoe Road. The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office quickly blocked the road to traffic on Sunday.

This isn't the first time there has been trouble on the road. Another portion of Buckley Road buckled in August and had to be shut down for repairs. That was just south of Orchard Road and extreme heat was blamed.

Crews reopened Buckley Road on Monday afternoon.
