Wildfire near Horsetooth Reservoir in Larimer County

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. — Firefighters in Larimer County responded to two wildfires late Friday afternoon. One started near Arthur’s Rock west of Horsetooth Reservoir and the other was at Bobcat Ridge near Loveland.

There were reports lightning might have started the fires, but there was no official word on a cause.

A helicopter was dispatched to help douse the flames with water drops. The fire was 100 percent contained Friday night. Firefighters also responded to a second small fire at Bobcat Ridge in Larimer. Lightning might have started that one as well.
