Bromley and 48th

BRIGHTON, Colo. — Saturday morning, police responded to a two-vehicle accident on East Bromley Lane at South 48th Avenue.

A witness told the Brighton Police that a silver Toyota 4-Runner was heading west and attempting a left turn from Bromley onto 48th. A blue Yamaha motorcycle was heading toward that intersection from the opposite direction.

The motorcycle appeared to be speeding when it failed to stop for its red traffic signal; the motorcycle hit the SUV on the passenger side.

The driver of the motorcycle went through the rear passenger window landing inside the SUV. Glass from the impact covered an eight-year-old in the front passenger seat.

The motorcyclist, Asael Sifuentes-Reyes, a 20-year-old male from Brighton, was flown to a hospital where he later died. He was wearing a helmet. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be involved.

The eight-year-old boy and his mom were also taken to a hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this accident should contact Officer Struck at 303-655-2300.
