ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. -- Testimony began Tuesday in the civil trial for the Aurora theater shooting.

Families of some of the victims are suing the movie theater owner, Cinemark.

They claim the Century 16 theaters in Aurora was a target for an attack because of lax security. Attorneys for the families also said the company could have prevented the shooting that killed 12 and injured dozens more.

Lawyers for the theater argue the precautions that were in place were reasonable.
