DENVER -- Police officers spent a little time in the classroom Tuesday at Denver South High School to teach students about the dangers of fake guns.

Officers brought eight replica weapons so the students could see how real they can look.

The officers want the kids to understand why it can be so dangerous to carry a fake gun.

Denver schools have had several lockdowns this year because students brought replicas with them to school.
