DENVER -- The past couple of days have been a dream come true for Dulce Cabrera.

The Denver Center for International Studies at Montbello student flew from Denver to New York on Monday to spend the day with first lady Michelle Obama.

Dulce was the only Colorado student invited and as part of college signing day, she announced her decision to go to the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs.

She said none of this would have happened without the Colorado "I Have a Dream Foundation."

As someone who has admired the first lady for the last 7 1/2 years, Dulce hopes others follow in her footsteps.
