Man surrenders after barricading himself in Denver home

DENVER -- A man surrendered early Thursday morning after barricading himself inside a home, the Denver Police Department said.

The incident happened just before 11 p.m. Wednesday in the 3500 block of High Street.

A SWAT team was called out and it broke out some windows in an attempt to get the man to surrender.

The man eventually gave up and was taken into custody without any shots being fired.

The man has not been identified. There are no reports of any injuries.
