ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. -- An 18-year-old was arrested and charged with DUI after two people were killed in a two-car crash on South Colorado Boulevard on Friday, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said.
Taden Jones of Centennial is facing two counts of vehicular homicide, one count of DUI, one count of reckless driving and one count of possession of a forged instrument. He is being held at the Arapahoe County Detention Facility on $50,000 bond.
The crash happened on South Colorado Boulevard and Peakview Circle. The sheriff's office said the driver of a sedan was turning left from Peakview onto Colorado Boulevard when it was struck by another sedan going northbound on Colorado.
Witnesses said the northbound vehicle was being driven aggressively, the sheriff's office said. The two people who died were in the sedan that was turning onto Colorado. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the second died at the hospital.
Three people were in the sedan going northbound on Colorado. One passenger went to the hospital with minor injuries.
