DENVER -- The work of the March of Dimes to raise money to research and prevent birth defects has inspired one family to take action.

Eight-year-old Lucy Johnson was born with a rare lung condition. With nowhere to turn, the March of Dimes stepped in to help.

Because of that, every year on March 30, the Johnson family gives back to pay it forward.

Mike Barz has their story in his video report.

Join FOX31 Denver for the March for Babies walk on April 23 at City Park in Denver. We are a proud sponsor of the event and we have a whole team from the station that will be out there that day.
