Most Denver city government offices closed for Cesar Chavez Day

DENVER — Most city and county of Denver offices will be closed Monday for the Cesar Chavez holiday.

The mayor’s city council, clerk and recorder’s and auditor’s offices will be closed, as will the city’s 311 information line for nonemergency services.

Also closed will be the Denver Animal Shelter; building and zoning permit office; Denver County Court; Denver County Motor Vehicle offices; Elections Division; excise and licenses customer service counters; Denver Human Services; Denver Public Libraries; Office of Human Resources Talent Acquisition Testing Center; the coroner’s office; public works’ permit counters; the vehicle impound facility; the Wastewater Management building; and all Denver Workforce Centers.

Parking meters will be free throughout the city, but trash, recycling and composting will not be collected.
