Snow causes slick conditions in mountains; isolated rain showers for Denver

DENVER — Snow showers are making for slick conditions in the mountains, forcing the Colorado Department of Transportation to ask drivers to take extra precautions. The traction law is in effect on U.S. 6 over Loveland Pass.

The snow is expected to last until about midnight to 2 a.m. Sunday. The Denver area could see isolated showers and maybe even a thunderstorm Saturday night.

All should clear out by Sunday with highs in the 60s and sunny conditions.
