LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. -- A mother is asking for the public's help to find the man who she says tried to abduct her 12-year-old son on Tuesday night.

Lisa Carlson Ortiz said her son was in field about 6:45 p.m. Tuesday looking for his younger siblings when he claims a man jumped out from behind the trees and grabbed him. The boy was able to get away.

"He is still out there," Ortiz said. "There's a lot of kids that play around there. It's a nightmare for a parent to go through."

The Larimer County Sheriff's Office released a composite sketch of the suspect, who is described as a white male, 45 to 50 years old. He has brown hair, a thin build and a "pock-marked" face.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985.
