Chef David Bondarchuck from Scratch Catering Services shows us how to turn a boring frozen dinner in to a meal.
What You Need:
1 16oz package of Frozen Peas and Carrots
3 cups Long Grain White Rice, Rinsed and Steamed
1/4 cup onion-finely chopped
2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
3 Tablespoons of Soy Sauce
What To Do:
Heat a large skillet, add oil and onion and saute until onion is translucent. Add package of frozen vegetables, and stir to combine. Add egg to skillets and keep the mixture moving once egg is cooked add rice and keep siring and mixing. Add soy sauce and mix and flip to combine-Serve Hot!
Spicy Orange Chicken
What you Need:
1 package frozen Chicken Breast pieces
1/2 can frozen Orange Juice Concentrate
dried small Red Chilies about 10
3 Tablespoons Fresh Ginger-minced
2 Cloves of Garlic-minced
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
What to Do:
Deep fry or bake the chicken pieces per the packages instructions, remove to a large bowl
In a skillet combine all the remaining ingredients, bring to a simmer.
Pour the sauce over the chicken pieces in the bowl and toss to coat.
Serve with Fried Rice
Chocolate Cherry Turn Overs
What you Need
1 package Frozen Puff Pastry
1 Package Frozen Cherries
2 cups Chocolate Chips
2 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
What To Do:
Thaw Puff Pastry for about 1 hour
Pre-Heat the Oven to 400 degrees
Roll out one sheet to an even and equal square
Cut Square into quarters
Fill the center of each square with the Cherries
Wet the tip of your finger and wet the edge on two sides of the square of puff pastry. press the opposite side of the puff pastry to the wet edge, folding the square into a triangle.
Place stuffed triangles of a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown-remove from oven and allow to cool.
In a small glass bowl, combine Chocolate Chips and Heavy Cream-Microwave for 30 seconds at a time and stirring in-between warming.
When the chocolate is melted drizzle the chocolate over the turn-overs!AlertMe
