Two critically injured in west Denver motel fire

DENVER -- Two people were critically injured in a fire in west Denver on Tuesday morning, the Denver Fire Department said.

Multiple fire trucks and ambulances were at the Motel Bar X at 5001 W. Colfax Ave.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Red Cross was also at the scene, helping three people with immediate needs such as lodging, food and clothing.
