WINTER PARK, Colo. -- It's time again to check out some amazing athletes in the 41st annual Wells Fargo Ski Cup, happening Friday to Sunday at Winter Park Ski Resort.
Shannan Williams, a top skier and shining star at the National Sports Center for the Disabled, has been involved in the sport since she was 4 years old and is an inspiration to all on slopes.
Williams has cerebral palsy but says skiing was a challenge she was ready to take on and she obviously has conquered it.
She has this advice for anyone out there who is facing a challenge: Just go for it. The sage advice is meant to inspire those who are afraid to take on any kind of challenge, no matter their background.
“I've always said if you have two choices between trying and failure, then try because the worst thing about failing is you didn't try," Williams said.
Williams has a pretty cool sidekick, Cinnamon, the NSCD’S official therapy dog, who even has his own Twitter page.
The Wells Fargo Cup is a signature fundraiser for the NSCD.AlertMe
