DENVER — If you’re looking to stay in the San Francisco Bay Area for Super Bowl 50, it’s going to cost you.

Nightly rates at hotels will cost more than triple an average night.

The cheapest hotel that could be found before the AFC Championship Game was over was running about $350 per night, and that’s a hotel with only a two-star rating.

A four-star will cost more than $1,000 each night.

The rates are likely to rise before the game between the Broncos and Carolina Panthers on Feb. 7.
