Women and guns, safely training for self-defense

Self defense is a major concern for women, with many buying guns to protect themselves.    The number of women going to gun ranges is up 60 percent since 2001  to more than five million, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation.

Gun safety is also a big concern.  Many women have a fear of guns they want to overcome in order to be safer around weapons.   This morning NRA certified pistol instructor Karen Murray shows Good Day Colorado’s Shaul Turner how to handle a gun safely.
