DENVER — Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak says Peyton Manning will be the team’s backup quarterback Sunday if he remains healthy.

Kubiak said at a news conference Wednesday that Manning will practice.

Brock Osweiler will remain the starting quarterback when the Broncos take on the Chargers in their last game of the regular season.

A win Sunday would give the Broncos a first-round bye in the playoffs.

This would be first time Manning has dressed as a backup quarterback in his NFL career.
