GOLDEN, Colo. — An accident closed down some streets after a casino bus crashed into an Escalade SUV, according to Wheat Ridge Police.

It happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of 44th Avenue and Eldridge Street.

The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital in unknown condition, but Wheat Ridge Police updated at 9:30 p.m. that the SUV driver’s condition was improving.

Police recommended alternate routes around 44th Avenue.

Wheat Ridge Police were on scene investigating.
