Car crashes into reservoir in Boulder County, police looking for driver

NEDERLAND, Colo. – A car was found upside down in the Barker Reservoir on Thursday morning, and police do not know what happened to the driver.

Officers found a red 2009 Chevrolet submerged in the water.

No one was found in the car and there were no footsteps around the car, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

A dive team is being called in to search the water for any possible victims.

Officers have not been able to contact anyone associated with the vehicle’s registration.

Barker Reservoir is located just east of Nederland.
