Suspect in attempted sexual assault taken into custody

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A suspect in an attempted sexual assault was taken into custody on Thursday, the Colorado Springs Police Department said.

The incident occurred about 2 a.m. Nov. 16 near 5150 Airport Road in the Canyon Ridge Mobile Home Park.

The suspect reportedly woke up a girl by knocking on her bedroom window. Police said the man climbed in through the window, asked for her name and tried to pull down her underwear.

A sketch of the suspect was released after the incident and Thursday, the suspect was identified as 55-year-old, Robert O’Bryant, police said.

O’Bryant was taken into custody on the charges of sexual assault on a child, second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and multiple counts of indecent exposure.
