Robert Loggia – star of Scarface, Big – dead at 85

LOS ANGELES — Academy Award-nominated actor Robert Loggia has died at 85.

His death was first reported by Variety and TMZ.

Throughout his long career, Loggia had many memorable roles.

Loggia performed a dancing duet with Tom Hanks on a over-sized keyboard in “Big”, in what has become an iconic movie scene.

He also starred “Scarface” and was nominated for an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 1985’s “Jagged Edge.”

An Army veteran, Loggia was a native of Staten Island.  His widow, Audrey, told Vareity that he passed away in Los Angeles.
