LOVELAND, Colo. — The driver of the vehicle that crashed into Lake Loveland on Saturday night was identified Tuesday by the Loveland Police Department.

Police said Annaliese Vucich, 22, was driving northbound on Colorado Avenue and crossed Eisenhower Boulevard and into Lake Loveland about 10 p.m.

A passerby saw the vehicle enter the water, jumped into the lake and swam to the car. The passerby broke the passenger window and pulled out Vucich.

Vucich was taken to a hospital where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

She was later booked into the Larimer County Jail on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent and careless driving.
