DENVER—Christmas for a Lakewood family promises to be awesome, thanks to the Problem Solvers and Walmart.

“We have a new app which allows users to shop for friends and family—like a wedding registry—by using your device as a scanner,” said West Evans Avenue store manager Spencer Burskirk. “We just picked an unsuspecting shopper to demo the app, and with the help of the Problem Solvers at FOX31, we were able to make holiday dreams come true a few weeks early.”

We found Joanne Severns shopping with two of her four youngsters, showed her how to work the app and set them out to pick out gifts they might ‘like to have’ and within 20 minutes, their cart was filled, with everything from Xbox to race cars. The reveal coming when we took her to the pick-up counter and let her know everything she scanned, WAS HERS!!

Through the tears, “I can’t believe this, oh my gosh, are you kidding me? This has just made our Christmas!,” said Severns, who had Adam and Eaton in tow.
