New app pinpoints source of bullying or threat

DENVER -- It is estimated one in seven students in kindergarten through the 12th grade is a bully or has been a victim of bullying.

This week, a bullying convention is coming to Denver complete with plenty of tips to protect children.

The International Bullying Prevention Association convention will be held through Tuesday at the Marriott City Center Hotel.

More than 25 organizations will showcase their latest products and services. One new app called Digital Fly and was made by OSC World.

Digital Fly alerts school officials to potential threats to students, staff and property by using geolocation. It monitors and tracks social media search terms, watch lists, keywords, hashtags, users and groups selected by school administrators.
