Missing 80-year-old man from Aurora found safe

AURORA, Colo. — An 80-year-old man with dementia and Alzheimer’s who went missing on Monday morning returned home safe, the Aurora Police Department said.

Arnold Russell Horton was last seen near Vaughn Way and Alameda Avenue at 10:30 a.m., police said.

Police said he has a history of dementia and Alzheimer’s, and is known to gravitate to golf courses and banks.

Police said late Monday night that Horton had returned home and the Senior Alert was deactivated.
